Tenuta di Ricavo… a medieval hamlet, ably and lovingly restored, is centered in nearly 1000 acres of nature preserve, in the heart of the Chianti hills. The ancient manor house and it’s belonging stone cottages today can house up to 50 persons in 23 comfortable and characteristic guest rooms and suites. In Ricavo authentic Tuscan Charm and idyllic surroundings meet in harmony with today’s modern comfort.
Whether it is a relaxing holiday to unwind from stress or a short break, whether it is a journey of cultural interest or a wine tour that you are looking for… Ricavo the ideal place for it. Here everyone can find their own rhythm for an individual stay.
In the good season life can be enjoyed outdoors from breakfast onwards. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served al fresco under large umbrellas on the front square. There is a big garden full of flowers with two swimming pools. And there are paths for walking threaded through the picturesque country sides.
The indoor life takes place by a cozy log fire in the “Sala Grande”, the main public room. There is also a bar, a well equipped library, a billiards room, a WI-Fi area and a work out room.
Ricavo is well worth a visit for it’s Cuisine. Inside the hamlet the Ristorante La Pecora Nera (Restaurant The Black Sheep) serves typical Tuscan dishes as well as more refined fare, accompanied by the cellar’s wines.
